In Order to Donate a Skin
The thing about fanlistings is that they are very much fan-based. For this reason, I think everyone who joins or loves Naruto should be able to play a part in the listing. This is the reason why I skinned this site, and encourage anyone who wants to make a skin to be able to donate one.
When you make a skin please follow the guidelines listed below. After you are done, just email me with the zip file at shazaam3[at]hotmail.com. I do not approve/disapprove skins. Anything that follows the guidelines will be posted, I am no judge of skill.
Guidelines
- You can use images from the anime or manga, but please use clear images (like no blurry screenshots) for the layout
- The layout can be coded in every which way you want, tables, divs etc. Anything except iframes. Because right now the fanlisting is too large to fit in a small iframe -_-, and I didnt use the skinning for the iframe version O_o yet.
- You need to insert a navigation with six links. I don't really care what you call these links, they can be numbers, letters, little circles, doesn't matter. But they should link to: index.php, rules.php, join.php, codes.php, members.php, and extras.php
- After you code up your layout, you need to split it up into header.html and footer.html. The header will be everything BEFORE the content begins, and the footer will be everything AFTER the content ends.
- All links to images, CSS or Javascript CSS, should be proper links in relation to your zip file name and this url and the skins directory. I recommend using your name, but it doesn't matter. For example, if your name is "hana" and the image in your layout/css is "header.jpg" you need to link it as: http://naruto.mycurry.net/skins/hana/header.jpg. Do this after you finish coding it, this way you can finish your layout and then just change this for me.
- In your zip file, create alt.txt which will have the name of your layout. Then create a file called thumb.gif which is a thumbnail of your layout along with it's title. This image should be 50 pixels in width and 80 pixels in height.
- Remember to put your name in the footer somewhere for credit. That's about it. Zip the files and images, and send it to me.
Things to Note
- Please define the following in your css: u, b, li, h1, h2, h3, p, ul, blockquote. I'll have to define them if you don't.
- The header is h1, the text under is h3, and content afterwards is paragraphed directly. h2 is the subheader. DON'T make h2 too complicated, cause the names of the members are in h2.
- Remember, if you define some css, define all of it.
- Check if it works on multiple browsers. Validation is NOT necessary
